Project overview
To consolidate several smaller feed mills into a new 500,000 ton-per-year swine feed mill for Crystal Valley Coop, one of the largest of its kind in the region. The new feed mill was to support an output of 1,000 tons per day to supply the coop’s members with feed for their swine stock, delivered by truck to the farms.
Deliverables
All design, layout and engineering of new feed mill; main structure of concrete slipform tower including batching, mixing, microsystems, mechanical, electrical and controls; warehouse construction with pre-cast concrete panels; separate corn silo with incoming corn from elevator with grinding system before entering 9-ton mixer; all material handling, maxing and batching systems.
