Project overview
McC served as the General Contractor to deliver new process and facility updates for fertilizer inbound shipping, receiving and storage for CHS. The goal was to forgo downtime so that CHS could remain operational throughout the project.
Deliverables
Demolition of existing receiving and loadout of fertilizer storage facility from inbound product by ship to loadout by rail car. Design of foundations – deep foundations and cast-in-place concrete foundations, erection of owner-provided structural steel towers, bulk weighing and conveyance equipment. Our coordinated demolition phase allowed the CHS facility to remain operational throughout construction and upgrades being made to equipment.
