Badger State Ethanol
Project overview
McC served as the General Contractor to upgrade the reclaim system for one of two Badger State Ethanol’s corn silos. The scope of the project included demolition of the existing sloped bin bottom and imbedded reclaim conveyor. The goal of this renovation project was to provide this ethanol plant with updated efficiency and safety enhancements.
Deliverables
Our excavation team entered through the side of the silo to remove all concrete and backfill materials. We then installed a new center tunnel to hold a new reclaim conveyor. Once the tunnel was installed, a new elevated concrete floor, new bin sweep and other modifications required for the new system were put in place. Our renovations throughout provided Badger State Ethanol with efficient ease of access to equipment, a sweep system that allows for total clean-out of the silo and updated safety of the facility.
