Project overview

McCormick Construction managed a $17.8 million design-build project for Agtegra Cooperative in Aberdeen, South Dakota. This large-scale expansion included new ground pile storage across four terminal locations, providing essential capacity to support Agtegra’s grain handling and storage needs ahead of the 2025 fall harvest.

As the design-build contractor, McCormick’s scope covered excavation, concrete foundations and millwright services for grain storage and handling systems. The project enhances Agtegra’s operational efficiency and ensures additional grain storage capacity is available before peak harvest demand.

Deliverables

• Design-build management for four ground pile storage expansions
• Excavation and concrete construction for a 300-foot round ground pile at the west terminal
• Foundations for a central tower and three support towers for the fill bridge system
• Installation of structural steel towers, conveyors and handling equipment
